Here's What Taylor Swift Said About MN Gov. Tim Walz

Taylor Swift, one of the biggest pop-culture icons in the U.S. and possibly the world, endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on Tuesday night.

ST. PAUL, MN β€” Taylor Swift, one of the biggest pop-culture icons in the U.S. and possibly the world, endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, on Tuesday night following Harris’s debate against former President Donald J. Trump.

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," Swift wrote on Instagram. "I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."

Of Walz, Swift wrote: "I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades."

Swift signed her endorsement post as "Childless Cat Lady," a reference to comments made by Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, regarding women without children.

The post, which included a picture of herself holding her cat, "Benjamin Button," has racked up 8 million "likes" so far on Instagram.
