
A man who's been to some of the coldest places on earth and keeps going back for more is coming to the headquarters of  on Sunday to talk about climate change, and how you can live a greener life.
It might seem like a joke—arctic explorer becomes expert on global warming—if Will Steger, a Richfield native and a key attendant at LHP&L's 2006 birth, wasn't deadly serious about the major changes he's sees on every visit to the North Pole in the last 15 years.
Melting glaciers, retreating sea ice, Steger told Southwest Minneapolis Patch his periodic visits drive him in his life's mission to educate teachers and lobby policy-makers through his foundation.Â

Felicity Britton, co-head Linden Hills Power and Light, said the event will also feature an informal panel of Southwest Minneapolis residents involved in building solar power, geothermal, home energy efficiency and composting initiatives in the area. Britton said they will share their expertise on how you can get involved.
The event is free, but registration is required.
