MINNEAPOLIS — The National Weather Service is warning Minnesotans that the roads in the days leading up to Christmas weekend will be dangerous, due to an impending blizzard.

But if you absolutely have to drive, you'll want to know the least dangerous time to hit the road.

According to the NWS, if you can leave Tuesday, do it. "Wednesday travel will be heavily impaired by accumulating snow. Thu-Sat travel will be heavily impaired by blizzard conditions and dangerous wind chills if you get stranded," weather officials said.
