Photos Show Jewish Childcare Center Vandalized With Pro-Hamas Graffiti In Minneapolis
Mayor Jacob Frey condemned the antisemitic graffiti found following the second anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Vandals overnight scrawled antisemitic and pro-Hamas messages on the walls of the Jewish childcare center connected to Temple Israel in Minneapolis.
Photos shared by Mayor Jacob Frey on X show red spray-painted messages on the synagogue, including "Watch Out Zionists" and other phrases referencing the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that killed thousands.
Tuesday was the second anniversary of the attack.

"We expect investigators and media so we will keep learners off the playground today," a Temple Israel associate said in an email obtained by KARE 11.
"As we mourn the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks, this ugly act of antisemitism is particularly painful," Lead Rabbi Marsha Zimmerman told congregants.

"We have always lived by the words inscribed above our doors: My house shall be a house of prayer for all peoples. We remain committed to living our Jewish values, which we proudly pass on to our children, and to the interfaith dialogue that has built meaningful relationships across our city."
The Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack on Israel killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians.
