July 4 2022: What's Open, Closed In Minneapolis
Here's a look at what you can still find open in the Twin Cities metro area on Independence Day.

MINNEAPOLIS — All Minneapolis city government offices are closed Monday, July 4, so employees can celebrate Independence Day. Minneapolis police and fire emergency services will be operational as normal, however.
There will be no garbage or recycling pickups on July 4, and each household’s garbage and recycling pickups will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

Banks will also be closed, as well many retailers and shopping malls.

- Minnesota state offices and courts: closed
- Post Office: closed
- Banks: closed
- Hennepin County offices: closed
Though banks and government offices will be closed, many stores and restaurants will be open for regular business hours.
