July 4th: Fireworks In Minneapolis Canceled For 2022

While Minneapolis may not be holding traditional Independence Day events this year, there are other ways you can celebrate the holiday.

MINNEAPOLIS — The city of Minneapolis' traditional "Red, White, and Boom" celebration, including the fireworks over the Mississippi River, will not be held this year due to construction at Father Hennepin Park and staff shortages.

Minneapolis' fireworks may have been canceled, but the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will be hosting smaller, family-friendly July 4 events at the following parks.
