Kevin O’Connell: Do The Vikings Have A New Head Coach, Or Not?
Questions about Kevin O'Connell's future likely won't be publicly answered until the Los Angels Rams host their post-Super Bowl parade.

TWIN CITIES, MN — It's been two days since the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl, but there's still no news about Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell moving to Minnesota to coach the Vikings.
Since Feb. 3, Minnesota has been poised to hire O'Connell to replace fired coach Mike Zimmer, but due to NFL rules, the Vikings couldn't make the hiring official until after the Rams played in the Super Bowl.
The Super Bowl is now over, and still, the Vikings are without a head coach, at least officially.

Meanwhile, there's been mounting speculation that O'Connell could take over for the Rams if head coach Sean McVay — now a champion — decides to retire. As of Tuesday, McVay hasn't yet committed to returning to the Rams.
"As to O’Connell, would he be tempted to see what current Rams coach Sean McVay decides to do before finalizing things in Minnesota?" asks Pro Football Talk reporter Mike Florio. "If McVay walks away for broadcasting and if owner Stan Kroenke decides to offer the job to O’Connell, would he jilt the Vikings?"
