Minneapolis Snow Emergency: Parking Rules In Effect Through Tuesday
City officials say vehicles must be moved for plows to clear streets curb-to-curb during the snow emergency.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis is in the middle of a declared Snow Emergency after the city activated its plowing plan at 9 p.m. Sunday. Parking rules continue through Tuesday as crews work to clear streets across the city.
Day 1 began at 9 p.m. Sunday, when parking was banned on either side of all Snow Emergency routes until 8 a.m. Monday or until those streets were fully plowed.
Day 2, which runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, restricts parking on the even-numbered side of non-Snow Emergency routes. Parking is also banned on either side of parkways until 8 p.m. or until plowing is complete.

Day 3, scheduled for Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., will prohibit parking on the odd-numbered side of non-Snow Emergency routes until 8 p.m. or until crews finish plowing that side.
City officials say plow crews can only clear the full width of a street when vehicles are moved off the side being plowed. Cars left in the way risk being tagged and towed to the Minneapolis Impound Lot.
