Minnesota Weather: Cold Snap Ends As Temps Warm Up

The National Weather Service reported temperatures around central Minnesota will be a lot warmer for the rest of the month.

TWIN CITIES, MN — After suffering through a cold snap that brought frigid temperatures to central Minnesota earlier this month, the National Weather Service said things may begin to warm up as seasonable temperatures are expected for the rest of February and early March.

Warmer weather is expected through early next week, according to the weather service, and there is a 40 to 60% chance Minnesota will see above average temperatures for the rest of the month. Despite warm temperatures on the horizon, the weather service said there's still a small chance of light snow and scattered flurries for this weekend.

Dry conditions are expected through the middle of next week, the service reported.
