MN Vikings To Interview Jim Harbaugh In Person: Report

Jim Harbaugh's overall record in the NFL is 44-19-1, the fifth-best in the NFL. He is a front-runner for the Vikings' head coaching job.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly set to interview Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh in person for the team's head coaching position.

The Vikings will fly him in Wednesday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

The team had an informal conversation with Harbaugh on Saturday. The Vikings' new general manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, has a previous relationship with the Michigan catch. The two crossed paths while working for the 49ers.

Their relationship is a primary factor in the team's interest in the Michigan coach, ESPN's Courtney Cronin reports.

Harbaugh spent four years as the head coach at San Francisco and took the 49ers to the 2013 Super Bowl. He was fired after going 8-8 in 2014.

The Vikings have already conducted in-person, second-round interviews with Raheem Morris, the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, and Kevin O'Connell, the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams.
