Northbound I-35W In Minneapolis To Close This Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS — Northbound Interstate 35W between Highway 62 and Interstate 94 in Minneapolis will close this weekend.

Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, cars will be detoured using westbound Highway 62, northbound Highway 100, and eastbound I-394 and I-94 to access I-35W.

  • Highway 62 ramp to northbound I-35W
  • 60th Street ramp to northbound I-35W
  • Diamond Lake Road ramp to northbound I-35W
  • 46th Street ramp to northbound I-35W
  • 35th Street ramp to northbound I-35W

During the closure, crews from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will repair the concrete pavement. All lanes and ramps are set to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday.

Transit officials ask that motorists avoid cutting through neighborhoods and follow the posted detour routes.
