Parks Full of Parties Thurs. Night
Five things you need to know about Southwest Minneapolis today.

1) Pearl Park Picnic
Pearl Park is hosting a big picnic tonight, sponsored by the Hale, Page, and Diamond Lake neighborhoods, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., just across I-35W from Windom and Tangletown. Head on over for food trucks—including Potter's Pasties and Kabomlette—funnel cakes, face painting and fun for all ages.
2) Polinator Party
Learn about the importance of bees at Lake Harriet's Polinator Party tonight, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rose Garden. Information about beekeeping, making your backyard bee-friendly, and food from Bryant Lake Bowl will all be available.
3) Used Book Sale
Lyndale Farmstead Park is hosting a used book sale tonight, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
4) DEADLINE: Aladdin, Jr.
Want to take your kid on the Park Board-organized Aug. 2 trip to the Stages Theater's production of Aladdin, Jr.? Make sure to register by Friday, July 26 through the MPRB website or at the Armatage, Pershing, or Linden Hills Park rec centers.
5) What You're Missing
According to City Pages, Piccolo's Doug Flicker just made the list of "Most Underrated Chefs in the World." Congrats to him, and to the staff at his East Harriet restaurant!
