Severe Thunderstorm Alert Issued For Southwest Minneapolis

Storms to hit Wednesday night.

Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch covering Southwest Minneapolis, along with much of central Minnesota.

The Watch expires at 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

A line of storms stretching from the Minnesota Valley to the Hibbing area is developing over western Minnesota and is expected to roll southeast tonight, along Interstate 94. As the storms developed Wednesday afternoon, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for parts of Kandihoi, Chippewa, and Swift Counties as the storms passed over.
