Talks Between All-Star Carlos Correa, MN Twins 'Accelerate': Report
Chances for a potential reunion between the Minnesota Twins and Carlos Correa have reportedly been revived.

MINNEAPOLIS — Spring training starts next month, but somehow all-star shortstop Carlos Correa is still a free agent.
That's because negotiations between his agent and two major market franchises — first the San Francisco Giants and then the New York Mets — have apparently broken down after initially looking promising.
As of Monday night, talks between Correa's camp and the Twins had "begun to accelerate," team sources tell Dan Hayes and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Correa opted out of his three-year, $105.3 million contract with the Twins after the 2022 season and was expected to sign a long-term deal with a major market team.
In a bid to get him back for another season, the Twins reportedly offered Correa a 10-year, $285 million offer. But in December, Correa apparently agreed to a 13-year, $350 million contract with the Giants.

However, that deal fell apart after the Giants expressed concerns about the condition of Correa’s right ankle following a physical.
At that point, Correa's agent — Scott Boras — reopened talks with other teams. The New York Mets then swooped in and offered him a $315 million, 12-year contract. But that was 20 days ago, any nothing has been finalized.
