Thunderstorms Likely Saturday As SW Minneapolis Ends Rainy Week
The Twin Cities are under an enhanced risk of severe weather on Saturday after seeing their biggest rainstorm of the year earlier this week.
SOUTHWEST MINNEAPOLIS, MN — More rain is in the forecast for Saturday evening, only a few days after the Twin Cities saw its biggest rainstorm of the year.
The National Weather Service has put the Minneapolis area under an "enhanced" risk of severe weather on Saturday, and The Weather Channel is expecting storms to begin as early as 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Heavier thunderstorms will begin at around 7 p.m., according to TWS' forecast. There is a potential for severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, and the chance of rain is 90 percent.
