Westbound I-94 Will Close In Minneapolis This Weekend

Drivers are asked to avoid cutting through neighborhoods during the closure.

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will not be able to travel on westbound Interstate 94 between I-35W and Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis this weekend.

Those lanes will close starting Friday at 10 p.m.

During the closure, the Minnesota Department of Transportation crews will repair concrete pavement on westbound I-94.

The following ramps also will be closed, starting a 9 p.m.:

  • I-94 ramp to 11th Street
  • Washington Avenue/4th St ramp to westbound I-94
  • I-35W southbound to I-94 westbound
  • 35W northbound ramp to westbound I-94
  • 16th St/4th Avenue ramp to Westbound I-94

Motorists will be directed to southbound I-35W, westbound Highway 62, northbound Highway 100, and eastbound I-394 to access I-94. Drivers are asked to avoid cutting through neighborhoods during the closure.
