What's Open, What's Closed On Monday, Dec. 26 In Minneapolis
Christmas Day is on a Sunday this year, but local, state and federal government offices will observe the holiday on Monday, Dec. 26.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis city government offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, in observance of the Christmas Day holiday weekend. City offices will reopen with regular business hours Tuesday, Dec. 27.
There is no change to the garbage and recycling pick-up schedule. However, the city's Solid Waste and Recycling customer service office will be closed on Monday.
Recycling that won’t fit in your cart can be placed next to your recycling cart in a paper bag or a cardboard box. Boxes must be flattened and bundled with string.

The city of Minneapolis' metered parking spaces will not be enforced on Sunday, Dec. 25 but will be enforced on Monday.
Minneapolis 311, and the Minneapolis Service Center, will both be closed Monday, Dec. 26 The Christmas holiday will not impact Minneapolis police and fire emergency services.
