What's Opened, Closed On Christmas Eve In Minnesota 2021

MINNEAPOLIS — City, county, state, and federal government offices in Minnesota are closed Friday, Dec. 24, in observance of the Christmas Day holiday weekend. Christmas is Saturday, Dec. 25.

Minnesota's 911 and emergency services will remain open.

Most offices will resume regular business hours Monday, Dec. 27. In Minneapolis, there is no change to garbage and recycling pick-ups.

Minneapolis city-owned metered parking spaces are enforced Friday, Dec. 24. They will not be enforced on Saturday.

Other metered parking restrictions — such as the Park Board, the University of Minnesota, and private organizations that operate their own meters — have their own rules.

• Cub Foods: All Cub stores and Cub Liquor stores are open until 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Stores are closed on Christmas Day.
