3 Stillwater Schools On Weekly COVID-19 Outbreak List

Thursday's list includes seven schools in the Stillwater Area Public Schools system, which lifted its mask mandate Feb. 14.

STILLWATER, MN — Three schools in Stillwater were named on the Minnesota Department of Health’s latest list of facilities with COVID-19 outbreaks.

Thursday’s list included Wildwood Elementary, Stillwater Middle School and Stillwater Area High School. All three schools were also named on last week’s list.

Wildwood Elementary is operated by the Mahtomedi Public Schools system, while the other two schools are in the Stillwater Area Public Schools system, which lifted its mask mandate Feb. 14.

COVID-19 Testing Site Closes In Washington Co. For Lack of Demand

Five other schools in the Stillwater Area Public Schools district were also included on Thursday’s list:
  • Andersen Elementary (Bayport)
  • Lake Elmo Elementary (Lake Elmo)
  • Afton-Lakeland Elementary (Lakeland)
  • Brookview Elementary (Woodbury)
  • Oak-Land Middle School (Lake Elmo)

The COVID-19 data dashboard for Stillwater Area Public Schools shows there have been 2,056 total coronavirus cases among staff and students since the start of the 2021-22 school year.

Mask Mandate To Be Lifted Next Week At Washington Co. Buildings

Just 20 new cases were reported from Feb. 18-24, the dashboard shows.

Nineteen Washington County schools were again included on the latest COVID-19 outbreak list, with no schools added or removed in the past week, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The total number of Minnesota schools on the list grew from 609 last week to 643 on Thursday.
