1. Fairy Falls Trail

Fair Falls Trail is managed by the National Park Service and offers a short but dramatic hike through deep ravines and hardwoods, ending at a ~40-foot waterfall. Because this is a more intense hike that includes steep spur trails, this train is best of for adventurous or experienced hikers.

A flat, paved 5.9‑mile former railroad grade trail connecting downtown Stillwater to the Gateway State Trail makes this trail great for walking or biking along scenic creekside. Ideal for families and anyone looking for leisurely stroll instead of a difficult hike.


3. Arcola Bluffs Day Use Area (Boom Site Trail)

A short, steady trail descending to the St. Croix River and historic Arcola High Bridge, this is an easy and peaceful hike, ideal for a quick nature fix or someone with less hiking experience.
