Bremer Bank To Lay Off 244 Employees At Lake Elmo Location
The job cuts are tied to Old National Bank's acquisition of Bremer, with layoffs beginning in October, according to state filings.

LAKE ELMO, MN — Bremer Bank, now operating as a division of Old National Bank, plans to permanently lay off 244 employees at its service center in Lake Elmo, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed with the state.
The layoffs will begin on Oct. 24 and continue through Nov. 14, with all affected positions eliminated by the end of 2026, according to records. The facility is located at 8555 Eagle Point Boulevard.
The job cuts follow Old National’s acquisition of Bremer and will impact a wide range of back-office and professional roles, including accounting, compliance, loan servicing, IT, cybersecurity, HR, and executive positions.

A union does not represent employees and has no bumping rights, according to the WARN notice.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development’s State Rapid Response Team will work with affected employees. Liz McLoone, a senior specialist with the team, is leading the state’s assessment of the layoffs. The unit typically offers services such as retraining, unemployment assistance, and job placement support.
