Courage Center St. Croix Director Polga Hangs up His Hat

Peter Polga, who has served the Courage Center St. Croix location in Stillwater through the better part of four decades, has hung it up as the center's director.

Polga stepped down Tuesday, according to an interview with the Stillwater Gazette.

"It's bittersweet," he told the paper. "’ll miss the people and staff; they are first rate."

According to its website, "Courage Center St. Croix uses a holistic approach, interweaving therapy, fitness, recreation, sports and family involvement to help adults and children reach their highest level of functional independence." 

The organization is based in Golden Valley, and has locations throughout the Twin Cities metro and in Duluth.
