Where Were You the Day JFK Was Shot?
'I walked in our home and my Mother was sitting, watching TV crying'

The weekend begins Friday on a somber anniversary—50 years since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated—and people who were alive then are recalling where they were that day in 1963 on the Stillwater Patch Facebook page.Â
Where were you on Nov. 22, 1963? Or what will you do on Friday to remember JFK? Leave a comment below.Â
Here are some of their comments:Â
Janis:Â I was in 3rd grade at Pine Hill Elementary School in Cottage Grove, MN. We were sent home from school early. I walked in our home and my Mother was sitting, watching TV crying.
Diane:Â I was in study Hall in MO. They even brought a TV in for us to watch. And then we went home in a daze. Will never forget.
Carl:Â Miss Oconnors 3rd grade math class St. Rose of Lima grade school Roseville.
Ray:Â I had just returned from a physics class and was in my dorm room when someone in the hall shouted out the news. We all rushed to the few TV's on campus and watching in disbelief. Returning to the dorm some construction guy was shouting it was good news and soon a mob of angry students chased him from the campus.
