Highway 36 Closure To Affect Weekend Traffic Near Stillwater: MnDOT
The closure is part of an ongoing $15 million project to resurface roads and improve ride quality on Highway 36 in the east metro.

STILLWATER, MN — Drivers heading into the Stillwater area this weekend should be prepared for detours and potential delays due to a partial closure of Highway 36.
Eastbound Highway 36 is scheduled to close from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday from Highway 61 to Interstate 694, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Westbound lanes of the same portion of Highway 36 are due to close July 8-11.

The closures are part of an ongoing $15 million project to resurface roads and improve ride quality on Highway 36 in the east metro. The project stretches from Edgerton Street in Little Canada to Greeley Street in Stillwater.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the fall.

Crews are almost finished building a new interchange at Highway 36 and Manning Avenue, Washington County officials said Wednesday. The bridge carrying Manning Avenue over the highway is “nearly done” and is expected to open to traffic by mid-July, officials said.
