Students start training in the Martial Arts for many different reasons including learning to focus, building
flexibility, developing confidence, learning Self-Defense, or just something to do socially. But if they stick
around long enough they eventually set the goal of achieving their Black Belt. The Black Belt represents
achieving an expert level of Martial Arts skills that most people will never get to. Everyone has the ability
to achieve Black Belt, but very few are willing to put in the hours it takes to train to that level.
The students promoted to these degrees in 2016 have put a combined total of over 4,350 hours training.
The Edge Martial Arts is located at 1654 Market Drive in Stillwater. Master Nathan Thorn, 7th Degree
Black Belt, owns and is the Master Instructor at the Edge, holding recognition under the World Martial
Arts Rank System. The Edge offers Martial Arts instruction for ages 4 and up. For more information
