Lumberjack Days In Stillwater Canceled Again

Organizers promised that "We will be back better than ever next summer for a fantastic Stillwater Lumberjack Days in 2022."

STILLWATER, MN — Stillwater's annual Lumberjack Days has been canceled for the second consecutive time. The festival typically takes place at the end of July.

Organizers said that even as coronavirus-related restrictions were being lifted this spring, they didn't have enough time to plan for the massive event.

"Our hands were tied for so long because of the ever-changing Covid restrictions," organizers announced in June. "For that reason, were unable to secure any of the significant sponsorship funds required to put on Lumberjack Days."

Stillwater's 4th of July fireworks show was also canceled this year, due to COVID-related firework shortages. However, a fireworks show will be held at the Lift and Loop Bridge Celebration on Aug. 14.
