Oak-Land Junior High Closed Due to Power Outage

Due to a power outage there is no school today at Oak-Land Junior High.

“Power is out at Oak-Land Junior High this morning and isn't expected to return until noon,” the status on Stillwater Area School District’s Facebook page reads. “That means NO SCHOOL or after-school activities today for all Oak-Land students.”

Xcel Energy crews are working to restore power now, and hope to have it back up and running early this afternoon, Carissa Keister, a district spokesperson said.

The outage means Oak-Land students have a day off from school, she said, Oak-Land instructional staff has been told to work from home.
