• County accepting winter clothing donations from December 29 to January 22 for swap event (cottagegrovejournal.news) — Washington County is inviting Stillwater residents to donate clean, gently used or new winter clothing at the Historic Courthouse and nearby park offices through Jan. 22, then pick up free items at a Winter Clothing Swap Jan. 23–24 in Stillwater. Coats, boots, hats, and more will be available at no cost, with no donation required to participate.
   

• Inside the Stillwater prison, classical music brings hope, peace (hometownsource.com) — Inside the Stillwater prison gym, more than 200 incarcerated men recently experienced an intimate classical music concert that brought many to tears and reflection. Minnesota Orchestra musicians and a Canadian nonprofit created a rare moment of peace, connection, and dignity just before Christmas, leaving both performers and listeners with a renewed sense of hope.
