Rapid Coronavirus Testing Site Opens In Stillwater

Gov. Tim Walz urged Minnesotans to take advantage of rapid testing sites while touring the new facility in Stillwater on Thursday.

STILLWATER, MN — Minnesota public health officials launched a new rapid coronavirus testing site this week at the Stillwater Armory.

Gov. Tim Walz toured the facility Thursday and urged Minnesotans to take advantage of rapid antigen testing sites amid a new surge in coronavirus cases, Fox 9 reported.

The Minnesota Department of Health also opened rapid testing sites in Crookston and Hutchinson this week, with more sites to open next week in Inver Grove Heights, Wadena, Hibbing and Albert Lea, according to the report.

The rapid tests take about 15 minutes to complete and results are available within two hours, Walz said.

Rapid testing is available at the Stillwater Armory, 350 Maryknoll Drive North, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
