Scalia has two years of eligibility left after the NCAA granted an extra year of eligibility to Division 1 and Division 2 student-athletes in fall and winter sports, as well as all Division 3 athletes, due to the coronavirus pandemic’s disruption of college sports.

Scalia was a three-star recruit and the No. 56 guard in the country during her senior season at Stillwater Area High School. The Twin Cities Pioneer Press named her its East Metro Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 2019.
