STILLWATER, MN — The Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter is set to close Dec. 19, with owner Kim Quade putting the highly popular traditional German restaurant on the market, according to a report.

Karl Schoene opened Gasthaus in 1966. Quade, his daughter-in-law, has been running it since the mid-1980s and is now looking to sell the restaurant to someone who will keep Gasthaus as it is, the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reports.

Quade told the outlet she is “ready for a change” even though Gasthaus overcame many pandemic-related challenges to have its best year in 2020.
