Stillwater's Oak-Land Junior High Tests New Security System

One of the nation's top "visitor management" system provider and the Stillwater School District have teamed up with a new, check-in system to keep Oak-Land Junior High School students safer. 

A quick swipe of an identification card, usually a driver's license, runs a pair of background checks on any visitor to the school within seconds. Stillwater teams with School Check IN, a technology and security company that specializes in large, educational buildings.

The system cost the district about $1,500, accroding to a similar system available on the Raptor Visotor Management's website. There is an annual fee for the program and software.
