Just after 3 p.m, Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on the 10000 block of 3rd Street Place North. At the scene, deputies found a man bleeding from two stab wounds to his chest and upper back.
The man said Olson stabbed him after they had gotten into an argument, according to authorities.
During the dispute, Olson left the room, went to an upstairs bedroom, came back with a knife, and stabbed the man in the chest and back, prosecutors said.
Deputies treated the man until emergency medical services arrived. The man was taken by ambulance to Region’s Hospital.
The stab wound to the man's upper chest produced a deep puncture wound, piercing the victim’s lung and causing it to collapse and fill with fluid, according to prosecutors.
Olson was arrested inside the home, according to authorities. He later admitted to stabbing the man, prosecutors said. Investigators said they found a knife in an upstairs bedroom.
