STILLWATER, MN — Republicans have not won a statewide race in Minnesota since 2006, and that streak continued Tuesday.

A big reason why is because of how poorly the state's Republican candidates performed in the suburbs and small towns, including gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen.

In Washington County, for example, Walz received 70,814 votes (54.17 percent) to Jensen's 56,472 votes (43.20 percent), according to the Secretary of State Office.
