St. Louis Park Wins CEE-Sponsored Energy Challenge
City prevails in the area-wide competition in which municipalities are judged based on their residents booking home energy visits.
St. Louis Park, MN —Residents of St. Louis Park had reason to celebrate earlier this week, and they likely will have smaller electric bills too. That's because the city was named the winner of the 2020 Intercity Home Energy Squad Challenge.
Formed by Center for Energy and Environment (CEE), the metrowide competition challenges residents to get a visit from the Home Energy Squad. During a visit, energy experts perform an assessment of a home, provide energy-saving tips and recommend next steps for future energy efficiency projects.
According to a release, St. Louis Park had the highest number of total visits and the highest visit-rate per capita. Eden Prairie finished second in visit-rate per capita and Bloomington was third.
