5 Woodbury Schools Added To Latest COVID-19 Outbreak List
Thursday's COVID-19 outbreak list included 24 Washington County schools, almost three times as many as last week.
WOODBURY, MN β After declining steadily for the first five weeks of 2022, the number of Woodbury schools on the weekly list of facilities with recent COVID-19 outbreaks started to climb again Thursday.
The number of Woodbury schools on the list peaked at 15 in December, then dropped to 12 from Jan. 6-19. That total fell to six schools for the following two weeks.
Just three Woodbury schools were included on the Feb. 3 list, but eight schools were named on the most recent list published Thursday.

Woodbury Middle School, Woodbury High School and East Ridge High School were joined on Thursdayβs list by Brookview Elementary, Saint Ambrose Catholic School, Woodbury Leadership Academy, New Life Academy and the Math & Science Academy.

Four of the eight Woodbury schools on Thursdayβs outbreak list are in the South Washington County Schools district.
The COVID-19 data dashboard for SoWashCo schools shows there have been 3,872 coronavirus cases within the district since the start of the 2021-22 academic year, including 101 new cases from Feb. 4-10.

Weekly case totals in the district have dropped significantly since peaking around the start of 2022. Officials reported almost 600 new cases from Dec. 17 to Jan. 6, a period that included winter break.
Officials reported 695 new cases from Jan. 7-13, 573 cases the following week and 356 from Jan. 21-27, the dashboard shows.
Thursdayβs COVID-19 outbreak list included 24 Washington County schools, almost three times as many as last week. The total number of Minnesota schools on the outbreak list more than doubled over the past week, from 249 to 598.
