5 Woodbury Schools On Weekly COVID-19 Outbreak List

WOODBURY, MN — Five schools in Woodbury were named Thursday on the Minnesota Department of Health’s latest list of facilities with COVID-19 outbreaks.

Thursday’s list included Brookview Elementary, the Math & Science Academy, New Life Academy, Woodbury Leadership Academy and Saint Ambrose Catholic School. All five schools were also named on last week’s list.

Mask Mandate To Be Lifted Next Week At Washington Co. Buildings

None are in the South Washington County Schools system, which lifted its mask mandate Wednesday for staff, students and visitors at its buildings that serve students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Brookview Elementary is operated by Stillwater Area Public Schools, while New Life Academy, the Math & Science Academy and Woodbury Leadership Academy are charter schools.

Nineteen Washington County schools were again included on the list, with no schools added or removed in the past week, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The total number of Minnesota schools on the list grew from 609 last week to 643 on Thursday.
