Adrian Peterson Arrested At LAX, Charged With Domestic Violence
Peterson, who is a free agent, was suspended from the NFL in 2014 after pleading no-contest to misdemeanor reckless assault on his son.

LOS ANGELES β Former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested Sunday after an incident forced his plane to return to the gates at Los Angeles International Airport, according to multiple reports.
Airport police were called Sunday morning for a potential domestic violence incident on a plane about to leave Los Angeles for Houston, NFL.com reported.
The plane had left the gate to prepare for takeoff but was forced to return due to βan alleged verbal and physical altercationβ between Peterson and a woman, the report states, citing a spokesperson for the Los Angeles International Airport police.

Peterson, 36, is facing a felony domestic violence charge, according to Los Angeles County Sheriffβs Department records, which show his bail was set at $50,000. He posted bond and was released Sunday.
Peterson entered a no-contest plea in 2014 after he was charged with reckless or negligent injury to a child after police alleged he hit his 4-year-old son with a switch. That charge was reduced to misdemeanor reckless assault as part of his plea agreement, Sport Illustrated reports.
Peterson, who is currently a free agent, served a suspension in the NFL after his conviction. He admitted in 2018 to Bleacher Report that he still used a belt to βdisciplineβ his children.
