‘History in Your Backyard’ Returning, Seeking Participants

Representatives from local historical organizations and sites are invited to apply for a display table at the “History in Your Backyard” event noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the Washington County Historic Courthouse in Stillwater.

The event is designed to bring together in one location the purveyors of local history so people can learn about the many historic opportunities in Washington County. This is a free family event and there is no fee charged for organizations that participate.

In addition to learning about local history, guests may tour the old county jail, view an exhibit on the history of high school athletics in Washington County, and enjoy light refreshments and a short program on an historical topic. Children’s activities and games also will be available.
