Washington County Budget Adopted, Levy Certified

The 2013 budget was adopted and the property tax levy for 2013 was certified by the Washington County Board of Commissioners at its meeting Dec. 11.

For the third year in a row, the budget calls for no increase in the county property tax levy or the levy for the Land and Water Legacy Program. The net certified levy is $86,523,700. The county property tax levy was reduced in 2012.

The Regional Rail Authority (RRA) levy for 2013 was set at $574,800, a 0% increase over the 2012 RRA levy, and has not been increased since 2011.

The Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) levy for 2013 was set at $3,332,236, a 0 % increase over the 2012 HRA levy, and has not been increased since 2010.
