Halloween Props Stolen From Woodbury Family’s Charity Display

Though the family is out hundreds of dollars, the theft has fueled a surge in donations to the St. Jude fundraiser, according to a report.

WOODBURY, MN — A Woodbury family had hundreds of dollars worth of Halloween decorations stolen last week from its display to support children with cancer, according to a report.

Keith Rose said $300 in decorations were stolen Wednesday morning, including items that were staked and zip-tied behind a sign for a St. Jude fundraiser, KSTP reports.

The Rose family is one of more than 125 participating in the nationwide “Skeletons for St. Jude” fundraiser, the report states. The campaign has raised more than $21,000, as of Monday morning.

Woodbury police confirmed to Patch that a police report was filed in the case, but they have no suspects, witnesses or evidence. No similar incidents have been reported in Woodbury, Commander John Altman said.
