Helping for the Holidays

The Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf is providing Thanksgiving Baskets and Holiday toys to families in need again this year.  

Thanksgiving and Holiday Toy registration for families interested in these events will occur during normal operating hours of the food shelf effective Monday, October 7, through Friday, November 15 (for Thanksgiving) and Friday, December 13 (for the Holiday toys). For reference, that is Mondays from noon to 4 p.m.; Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  

Thanksgiving 
We anticipate approximately 400 families will receive a Thanksgiving Basket. If you are interested in volunteering during the Thanksgiving Basket distribution or “Sponsoring a Thanksgiving Basket” for $25.00 please contact us via our website at www.christiancupboard.org, email our Executive Director, Kristin Kinney, at kristin.kinney@christiancupboard.org or call the food shelf at 651-233-1296.  

Thanksgiving Basket distribution to customers will be held on Saturday, November 23rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Woodbury Lutheran Church.  

Holiday Toy Drive 
The CCEFS will be holding a Holiday Toy Drive. We will be collecting toys for children ages 0-13 years (not to exceed $30 value please), gift cards for teens ages 14-18 years old ($15 and $30 value), grocery gift cards for family holiday meals ($30 value would be appreciated) and cash to purchase/supplement the donated items. If your donations could indicate gender and age, that will make distribution much easier. Thank you for considering.  

Donation Registration Closing and Toy/Gift Card Drop Off will be held: Sunday, December 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the King of Kings Church; 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury.  Holiday Toy Drive Distribution to families will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 21, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CCEFS Holiday Hours: CCEFS will be closed on November 28 and 29, December 26, 2013, and January 2, 2014.
