Saturday: Legend of Perseus, Raptors Coming to a Campfire Near Woodbury
Woodbury families are encouraged to head to the forest this Saturday for one of Washington County's free educational programs.

Weekend campfire gatherings promise storytelling and education to Woodbury residents who are invited to join for festivities in either of two Washington County parks.
Dwight Wilcox will present a Legend of Perseus program on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 7:15 p.m. at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve. At the same time, Carpenter Nature Center will feature a program on raptors at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park.
Each program runs for 45 minutes and may include live creatures, facts, and/or exhibits for hands-on, family learning. Other topics this season include animal adaptations, bats, bird banding, bugs, dragonflies, frogs, hawks, owls, snakes, wolves, and more.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve is located at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10, about one mile north of Interstate 94 in Lake Elmo. St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park is set along the St. Croix River on County Road 21, between County Road 76 and County Road 78 in Denmark Township.
Each program will take place in its respective campground's amphitheater. Both are free to attend with park permits, which cost $5 per day or $25 annually.
