Release from the Washington County Sheriff's Department: On 5/30/2013 at approximately 0312 hours the Newport Police Department was called to the 2200 block of Larry Lane. Upon arrival a male stated that he was robbed by knife. The male stated that he was talking to a male over the computer who was going to meet him in this area. They were planning on having sex. 2 white males got into his car with him and he was threatened with a knife. The victim gave them his cash and they then ran from the area. A perimeter was set up and a K9 dog attempted to find the suspects. Nobody was injured. This case is still an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.
