Open House To Teach Woodbury Kids About Fire Safety

The open house on Saturday morning will also give residents a chance to meet local firefighters and check out the city's vehicles.

WOODBURY, MN — The Woodbury Fire/Emergency Medical Services Division is opening up its Fox Run Fire Station on Saturday morning to teach residents about fire safety and the importance of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

The open house, scheduled to run from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, will also give residents a chance to meet local firefighters, try on their firefighting gear and check out the city’s fire trucks and ambulances, according to an event posting.

Woodbury’s Fox Run Fire Station is located at 1275 Woodbury Drive in the city.

Saturday is the final day of Fire Prevention Week 2021. The week’s theme is “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety,” which focuses on teaching children and adults about smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and how they save lives.
