Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. Our school is committed to our students’ long term success. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. We also have a strong character education program to ensure students develop exceptional leadership skills. The character education program includes service learning projects and a focus of five core virtues - respect, responsibility, perseverance, gratitude and humanity. WLA uses the rigorous and classical Core Knowledge Curriculum to build strong foundational knowledge across subjects, promoting academic excellence and equity. By ensuring all students share common knowledge, we can narrow achievement gaps and build critical thinking and long-term success. A St. Paul-born pizza chain known for it spicy sauce and generous toppings is opening a 54-seat restaurant in Woodbury this month. Red's Savoy Pizza — its menu also includes wings and hoagies — is slated to open Aug. 15 at 1575 Queens Drive, the former home of Dixie Blue Bar-B-Que, according to <a href="http://www.woodburybulletin.com/news/business/4087186-reds-savoy-pizza-open-woodbury" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the Woodbury Bulletin</a>. It will also offer take out and delivery."In keeping up Red Savoy's old-timey look, the restaurant will have a jukebox that customers can control with their mobile devices," <a href="http://www.woodburybulletin.com/news/business/4087186-reds-savoy-pizza-open-woodbury" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the article</a> said.
