Last September, Woodbury was on pace for record water usage.

The previous record was in 2007, when Woodbury used 2.88 billion gallons of water. Over the past few years that figure has hovered closer to 2.4 billion to 2.5 billion.

All of Woodbury is served by well water, and the city has an odd-even policy for allowing people to irrigate their lawns.

Homes whose addresses end with odd numbers water on odd-numbered calendar days, even on even (including 0). It’s also prohibited to water between noon and 5 p.m. each day for every home/business in the city.
