Sodexo Employee First to Win Prestigious Award at MUW Gala

Sodexo catering supervisor Courtney Johnson has been awarded as the Customer Experience winner of the West by Chief Executive Officer Jim Fjelstul.

This recognition comes after initially being nominated for the 2023 Campus Partner of the Year for his outstanding work at Mississippi University for Women (MUW) Dining.

The MUW Leadership Gala held on April 4, 2023 showcased Johnson alongside a line up of student leaders and campus organizations honored for delivering exceptional customer experiences. He took home Regional and District Customer Experience wins before eventually being titled the national.

A member of the MUW Dining team for over a decade, Johnson was nominated for his customer service with VIP clients and the consistent support he gave to fellow staff.

MUW Dining Marketing Coordinator Lakeydra Walls nominated Johnson, highlighting his commitment to each client.

Walls says, “Courtney takes the same care and pride with catering for three as he does with catering for 300 or more.”

Johnson is the first Sodexo employee to win the Campus Partner award.

In addition to ensuring the success of campus events, he showed a willingness to learn new positions and fill in for colleagues.

The Sodexo award showcases achievements representing top performing employees that provide clients with unbeatable service while building meaningful community connections.
