Amber Alert Canceled For Missouri 12-Year-Old, Police Say
"Based on information received, it is believed that the juvenile is safe and is in the company of someone known to her," police said.
FERGUSON, MO — An Amber Alert was canceled Wednesday for a 12-year-old who went missing Monday from school in Ferguson, according to police.
"Based on information received, it is believed that the juvenile is safe and is in the company of someone known to her," police said Wednesday evening of the girl, Natonja Holmes. "Ferguson Police and other law enforcement agencies are working jointly for a successful resolve to this incident."
The child got into a vehicle with a female near Ferguson Middle School, according to police, who said that they found the vehicle Wednesday and that its owner had contacted law enforcement.

"It is now apparent that the juvenile was familiar with the person(s) she left with," police said. "This remains an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Ferguson Police Department."
