Missouri Army Ammunition Plant Explosion Leaves 1 Dead
BREAKING: In a statement, the plant said the explosion Tuesday left one dead and injured four others.

INDEPENDENCE, MO — One person was killed and four others injured after an explosion at an Army ammunition plant in Missouri, according to a statement posted to the plant's Facebook page.
The explosion took place at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri, which is about 20 minutes east of Kansas City. The explosion took place around 1 p.m. in a primer mixing cell.
The investigation into the explosion is ongoing. All four injured employees were evaluated at the scene and they refused further medical treatment.
